Jackie battled a wide variety of medical problems for most of his life, but never really let them get him down. In this case, he needed surgery on his ear for a broken blood vessel, and other than seeming a little embarrassed about his appearance, he came through it just fine.

This is the way that I'll always remember my big man... laying in his very favorite spot in our family room, where he spent probably 14 hours or more of every day. We didn't raise Jack from a puppy, but we love him every bit as much as if we had. We had been hoping that Jack could come live with us for quite some time, and even though we already had two dogs at the time, Jack enriched our life immeasurably. We miss you, buddy.
